MOUNT FOREST – On Dec. 30 at about 1pm Wellington County OPP officers received a report of mailboxes being damaged on Princess Street and Grant Street here.
Police say the perpetrator(s) pried open the lower parcel portion of the mailbox and gained access to mailboxes for Princess Street.
“It does not appear that anything was taken,” police say.
Tractor stolen
OSPRINGE – For the second time in two weeks thieves have struck at Premier Farm Equipment on Wellington Road 124 here.
On Jan. 9 Wellington County OPP were informed a John Deere 65 horsepower tractor and a John Deere front end loader were stolen from the business sometime last weekend.
The location was the scene of a theft just two weeks ago, when two John Deere lawn mowers were stolen and a garage door damaged.
