Madison Galloway unveils new single “Tides” from upcoming sophomore album

FERGUS – Canadian roots-rock artist Madison Galloway is set to release her evocative new single, “Tides,” on May 31.

This ballad is the latest offering from her sophomore album, scheduled for release on June 28.

“Tides” delves deep into personal mental health struggles, narrating a journey from despair to hope.

Opening with a poignant reflection on feeling unnoticed in life’s relentless flow, the lyrics “The Earth keeps spinning on, no matter the tide” capture the initial sense of isolation and insignificance.

While “Tides” diverges from Madison’s typical “rootsy-blues sass,” says a press release, it showcases her versatility and draws on the sonic influences of artists like Joni Mitchell and Led Zeppelin’s acoustic side.

Galloway has been a formidable presence in the Canadian music scene since her debut EP in 2015.

Hailing from the small town of Fergus, she has charmed audiences with her original tunes and performances.

With performances at festivals like Kitchener Blues Festival and Riverfest Elora, and sharing stages with acclaimed artists such as Alessia Cara and 54-40, Madison has proven her versatility and talent.

Her recent single, “Open Your Eyes,” became her most popular track to date, amassing over 120K streams on Spotify and featured on prominent playlists like Spotify’s “Modern Blues Rock” and Joe Bonamassa’s “Cutting Edge Blues.”

In 2023, Madison’s achievements were recognized with the title of “Southern Rock Artist of the Year” at the prestigious Josie Music Awards in Nashville, TN.

As she prepares to release her new album, Madison continues to push the boundaries of her sound, promising to captivate audiences with her innovation and unmistakable style.

“Tides” will be available on all major streaming platforms on May 31. Fans can stay updated on Madison Galloway’s latest releases and tour dates by visitingmadisongalloway.com and following her on social media.
