MacDonald Trust application deadline is Jan. 28

Do you have an idea or project that will make a difference to residents in Centre Wellington?

The application deadline is quickly approaching for residents to bring ideas and projects they are passionate about to fruition, if approved by council. The deadline is Jan. 31 at 2 pm.

The MacDonald Trust guidelines provide clarity on the process, commitments and expectations by the township to community individuals and/or organizations who are pursuing the implementation of enhancements in the former Village of Elora.

Projects brought forward are to promote healthy sustainable community amenities, programs and/or services for the benefit of Centre Wellington residents and visitors, to enhance the overall wellbeing of the community.

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I know myself and council are looking forward to hearing from our community to create events and projects that may fill some of the gaps that we currently have and can now fill due to this generous donation” said Mayor Kelly Linton.

Council is allocating the remaining $1.509-million towards projects/ideas proposed by the community.
