MOUNT FOREST – Supporters of the hospital here are getting some well-deserved recognition.
The Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation officially unveiled a new donor wall at the hospital on Oct. 15 to celebrate those who have made significant financial contributions to the foundation.
“With grateful thanks to our donors, helping to keep quality health care close to home,” reads the message below the wall’s artwork.
Produced by local blacksmith and artist Anthony Moore of Live Iron Forge, the work features a tree with branches that stretch from floor to ceiling, and leaves of green, gold and burgundy. Situated close to the hospital’s main entrance and registration desk, the wall display recognizes lifetime giving amounts of ranging from $5,000 (“supporter”) to over $500,000 (“visionary”) with their own hand-forged leaf on the tree.
A digital screen also recognizes donors of anywhere from $1,500 to $4,999 (“friends”).
The installation replaces previous donor-recognition boards that were removed ahead of the Louise Marshall Hospital redevelopment and expansion project, which was completed in late 2021.
The donor wall unveiling was attended by past and present directors of the hospital foundation, Moore, Wellington Health Care Alliance CEO Angela Stanley, Louise Marshall patient care manager Beth Powell, as well as other hospital staff and guests.
Speaking on behalf of the foundation, president Scott Hartle welcomed guests and expressed gratitude to everyone who helped bring the donor wall project to life, particularly the donors themselves.
Stanley also spoke, thanking the foundation for its support of the hospital over the past several decades.
