ARTHUR - Arthur Seniors finished their shuffleboard season on Nov. 29.

ARTHUR - Thieves cut their way into a fenced compound at the Arthur Chrysler dealership on Dec. 2 and 3 and stole rims and tires from 23 pickup trucks. The value of the stolen items is estimated between $150,000 and $200,000.

GUELPH – A Mount Forest man charged with driving offences that resulted in the February death of Sharmila Jeyaruban has been handed a fine and a two-year driving prohibition following a joint Crown-defence sentencing recommendation.

ARTHUR  – Keira Healey from Arthur played with Team Ontario Red and won gold in the Canadian Junior Hockey Nationals in early November.

ABOYNE – The Fergus Elora Rotary Club held its 49th weekly Catch the Ace draw on Nov. 12 and drew Tena Stortz’s name out of a drum containing 6,760 ballots.

NORWELL – The Norwell District Secondary School varsity boys soccer team travelled to Shelburne on Oct. 30 to face off against Centre Dufferin District High School in the District 4 semi-final.

BELWOOD – The village of Belwood may be small, but when it has a Christmas Market and Vendors show, the community hall becomes very big indeed.
