KENILWORTH – On June 7 Wellington North celebrated 25 years since several villages and townships amalgamated in 1999.

WELLINGTON NORTH – Two local teenagers were airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries after a single-vehicle crash here early on Sunday. Emergency crews responded to the scene, on Sideroad 10 E north of Arthur, on June 9 at about 1:30am.

ARTHUR – The Arthur Business Improvement Area (BIA) has purchased two sets of  banners and put them up through downtown. 

MOUNT FOREST – The Kick Off to Summer Block Party was held in the Mount Forest Legion parking lot on June 1 and organized by the Mount Forest Business Improvement Area.

MOUNT FOREST – The future of the Mount Forest air cadets squadron is up in the air. The squadron was notified last November it was being placed on probation because of low participation numbers and a need for more adults to help run the program.

ARTHUR – Lifetime Lumber Products held a ribbon cutting ceremony to announce their shop’s grand opening in Arthur on June 1. 

MOUNT FOREST – County residents have a new event to add to their summer calendars. 

ARTHUR – The Arthur Sandwich House officially opened its doors with a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony on May 31. 

ARTHUR – Arthur Optimist Club held its Annual Kids Fishing Derby, on June 1.
