MOUNT FOREST – Mount Forest Legion officials say Branch 134 is a proud sponsor of the Mount Forest Patriots Jr. ‘C’ hockey team.

ARTHUR – Volunteers in the Walker Industries employee program Brooke-Lynn Richardson and Allie Walmsley trimmed shrubs and perennials at the Welcome to Arthur sign located at Highway 6 and Wellington Road 109 on Aug. 23.

ARTHUR – The Arthur Fall Fair will crown its ambassadors on Sept. 8, the last day of the four-day fair. 

MOUNT FOREST – Following a fire in January, St. Mary Catholic School here has been closed to students and staff. But it is set to welcome students back, beginning the second week of school. 

KENILWORTH – It’s time to raise the roof at the Lynes Blacksmith Shop – literally. The historic building has been undergoing a restoration project, but one of the most significant parts of the restoration has yet to be undertaken: the roof.

MOUNT FOREST – Strathcona Long-Term Care Home’s annual car show occurred on Aug. 24.

ARTHUR – A tractor pull, open-air cinema, a roast beef dinner, escape room and, of course, a variety of farm animals are just a few of the elements to attract people to the Arthur Fall Fair.

MOUNT FOREST – A gathering in downtown Mount Forest on Aug. 22 honoured people who have died of drug poisoning.

MOUNT FOREST – The Mount Forest Lions are organizing a Dance for a Cure on Sept. 7 at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex, to raise money to support childhood cancer research.
