TORONTO – The holidays, like many things in 2020, are going to look different this year due to COVID-19. On Nov. 25, the province offered “preliminary guidance” on how to safely celebrate this holiday season.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – As food banks and service groups prepare to provide Christmas hampers for those in need throughout Wellington County this holiday season, COVID-19 is top of mind.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – A fourth county resident has died of COVID-19 as cases continue to climb across Wellington.

GUELPH – Public health officials have declared a COVID-19 outbreak at the Royal Terrace Long-Term and Residential Care facility in Palmerston.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Concerns about privacy and “creating a false sense of security” are among the reasons offered by Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) for not offering municipality-specific data on local COVID-19 cases.

PERTH COUNTY – Following years of discussion about installing a higher level of traffic safety controls at the intersection of Perth Road 140 and Perth Line 91 (Wellington Roads 8 and 9), Perth and Wellington Counties have arrived at a temporary solution.

GUELPH –Due to COVID-19 restrictions and protocols the Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) has made changes to its cancellation and inclement weather day policy for this year. 

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Wellington County is currently driving the cases of COVID-19 in this public health region, with 19 new cases reported on Nov. 20, while Dufferin County reported no new cases and Guelph reported five.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Urban residents across Wellington County are being reminded that final 2020 curbside collection of leaf and yard waste is coming up soon.

TORONTO — The Ontario government has extended all orders currently in place under the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020 (ROA) until Dec. 21.
