WELLINGTON COUNTY – As of March 29, there were 427 known active cases of COVID-19 in the region (up 46% from 292 a week earlier) and 122 in Wellington County (up 30% from 94).

GUELPH – The Upper Grand District School Board is launching a new three-part program to support students in elementary and secondary schools, something the board is hoping to embed into its system for the long term, director of education Peter Sovran says.

OTTAWA – A motion introduced by Wellington-Halton Hills MP Michael Chong, calling on the government to ensure natural gas can be piped to Atlantic tidewater, was defeated in the House of Commons on March 21.
