LONDON – Type  Diabeat It announcesd the 5th annual 5k Run/Walk for Diabetes, set to take place on Sept. 7 at Springbank Park from 8am to 12pm. 

PETERBOROUGH – It was a good playoff run for the Fergus Thistles, but in the end, it was Peterborough who claimed the Ontario Junior C lacrosse championship.

KAHNAWAKE – It only took three games for the Elora Mohawks to beat out the Kahnawake Hunters to become the Ontario Junior B lacrosse champions. And that’s more or less how the entire playoff run went for the team.

GUELPH – Over the next four years, the Ontario government plans to spend as much as $1.6 million to help make it more obvious to shoppers which peaches, plums, pears and the like were grown in the province.

GUELPH – A Nation’s Table: The Anita Stewart and Food Day Canada Story was unveiled at the University of Guelph Arboretum on July 25.

WELLINGTON COUNTY   – The Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides campaign raised more than $1.3 million this year, thanks to thousands of volunteers, including members of the Palmerston, Marsville and Fergus Lions Clubs.

GUELPH – The Wellington Water Watchers celebrated a milestone on July 30. The grassroots organization received "Blue Community" status from the Council of Canadians.

GUELPH-ERAMOSA – On the evening of Aug. 4, 2020, a passerby found the body of Mohamed Amin Ismail, 25, of Ottawa, on Watson Road just south of Wellington Road 124, east of Guelph.
