GUELPH – Ambulance offload delays continue to plague emergency departments in Guelph and Wellington County. The number of “Code Red” situations, in which no ambulances are available for calls because they are tied up waiting to offload patients had reached 50 by the end of October.

GUELPH – A capital budget of $7.6 million for a transitional housing project in Guelph has been approved by Wellington County council.

ERIN – The province is proposing to add roughly 7,000 acres of land in Erin to the Greenbelt in exchange for around 7,400 acres of Greenbelt land it plans to remove or redesignate from other areas to make way for housing developments.

ELORA – The impact on the Greenbelt was the focus as dozens of local residents rallied here on Sunday afternoon to protest the provincial government’s Bill 23, the More Homes Built Faster Act.
