WELLINGTON COUNTY – Speaking at the debate were Conservative incumbent Michael Chong, Liberal Melanie Lang, Green Party Ran Zhu, and People’s Party of Canada Syl Carle. NDP candidate Noor Jahingir wasn’t able to attend and sent her issues and policy advisor Thomas Redman in her place.

ABERFOYLE – It won’t be the same as its normal fall fair, but the Aberfoyle Agricultural Society is organizing a half-day event this year it hopes will come close.

ABERFOYLE – Just in time for back-to-school, Puslinch council approved a bylaw to regulate parking and traffic around Aberfoyle Public School.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – There are currently three all-candidates debates in the county’s two ridings  for the Sept. 20 federal election.

GUELPH – Public health officials say there is a COVID-19 outbreak linked to an Aug. 21 wedding here - and a later reception in Puslinch - and are advising all those who attended they are "high-risk contacts" and should act accordingly.

ABERFOYLE – The Aberfoyle Agricultural Society will be hosting an agricultural day on Sept. 11 at the Puslinch Community Centre grounds.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) is reporting 26 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region over the Aug. 20 to 23 weekend – two in Wellington County, nine in Dufferin County and 12 in Guelph.

PUSLINCH – A barn was destroyed following a structure fire here on Aug. 20, resulting in an estimated $1.1 million in damages says interim Fire Chief Brad Bigrigg.

GUELPH – Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health will begin offering third dose COVID-19 vaccinations to a specific population beginning Aug. 23.
