PALMERSTON - Throughout 2021, Snobelen Farms is celebrating its 50th anniversary. 

MINTO – A group of Harriston residents is asking for two new pedestrian crossings to be installed in the community.

WELLINGTON COUNTY - The three hospitals in Wellington County are bracing for the third wave of COVID-19 and, as of April 19, are taking patients from outside the region. 

MINTO – Wellington County council has approved a $20,000 allocation from the county’s Business Retention and Expansion Municipal Implementation Fund to assist the Town of Minto with operation of the LaunchIt Business Exploration Centre in Harriston.

Volunteers persevere - Despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic over the past year, volunteers across the north Wellington region found ways to aid community causes.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Volunteer week would normally be a big deal at Louise Marshall Hospital, where the 30 to 50 citizens who give hours of their time to the hospital and its patients, are properly celebrated and appreciated.

PALMERSTON - No one was injured when a vehicle crashed into the front of the Foodland grocery store on Main Street in Palmerston at around noon on April 14. “Everybody was safe. No customers were hurt,” Foodland owner Ron McTaggert told the Advertiser shortly after the incident.

MINTO – A bylaw to rezone a three-quarter acre parcel of land in Clifford to permit the construction of two semi-detached residential dwellings (four units total) and one single-detached home has received first and second reading by Minto council.

PALMERSTON - The Palmerston and District Community Centre complex will see major improvements due to the Town of Minto’s successful application to the Community, Culture and Recreation Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP).
