MINTO – Fire officials are reminding residents about the importance of regular chimney and fireplace maintenance after a chimney fire resulted in around $200,000 damage to a local house on the weekend.

MINTO – The Palmerston Lions Heritage Park has once again been subjected to vandalism in a recent spate of incidents leading up to Christmas and into the new year.

MINTO – Council here has received on update on the Wellington County Community Safety and Well-being Plan. All municipalities were mandated by the Ministry of the Solicitor General to create their own plan by mid-2021.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Administrators are managing to cover shifts at the three hospitals in Wellington County, but they are keeping a watchful eye on case numbers in the community and bracing for more challenges ahead.

MINTO – Recreational facilities in the Town of Minto will be closed temporarily in response to new provincial direction, the town announced on Jan. 4.
