HARRISTON – An independent movie filmed primarily in locations in and around this community is set for digital release later this month. Godforsaken was filmed at Harriston and area locations in 2019.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – PrintFactor Media and Copernicus Educational Products each donated money to Groves Memorial Community Hospital to show their support for staff in this ongoing, long-going pandemic and that was converted into the snack boxes.

MINTO – Town council has approved the installation of a rainbow pedestrian crossover in Harriston.

TORONTO – Later this month, the mandatory mask requirement in most settings in Ontario will be a thing of the past. Dr. Kieran Moore, Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, announced on March 9 the mandatory mask mandate will be lifted for most settings, including schools, beginning March 21.

HARRISTON – The Town of Minto has allocated $20,000 from the 2022 structural grant component of its Community Improvement Program (CIP) to assist Harriston Legion Branch 296 with funding to bring an elevator in the building back into operation.

MILVERTON - Matthew Rae, former public servant and community and education advocate, won the PC nomination in the riding of Perth-Wellington on March 5.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Three northern Wellington youths were part of a national silver-medal winning synchronized skating team.

 MINTO - The 12th annual Mayor's Charity Golf Tournament will be held Aug. 4 at Pike Lake Golf Centre. The application process for local groups wishing to receive funds from tournament proceeds is now open and will close on April 4.
