WELLINGTON COUNTY - Wellington-Halton Hills MP Michael Chong says a recent travel ban imposed on him by Russia is merely “symbolic” and a “sign of desperation.”

MINTO – CAO Derrick Thomson is leaving the Town of Minto to accept a new post with the County of Bruce. On March 14 the town announced plans to begin recruitment for a new chief administrative officer as Thomson announced his departure. His appointment as CAO for Bruce County is effective April 18.

PALMERSTON – Grand River Hospital celebrated World Kidney Day on March 10 by recognizing dialysis unit nurses at its satellite location here for going “the extra mile” to serve patients in the wake of a recent winter storm.

HARRISTON – Police continue to investigate the March 2019 murder of a Kitchener man reported missing from Harriston. Jason John Brown, 43, was last seen on Jessie Street in Harriston.

HARRISTON – An independent movie filmed primarily in locations in and around this community is set for digital release later this month. Godforsaken was filmed at Harriston and area locations in 2019.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – PrintFactor Media and Copernicus Educational Products each donated money to Groves Memorial Community Hospital to show their support for staff in this ongoing, long-going pandemic and that was converted into the snack boxes.

MINTO – Town council has approved the installation of a rainbow pedestrian crossover in Harriston.
