DRAYTON – Police are looking for help to identify two people who stole power tools from a business here.

MINTO – Town councillor Jean Anderson gave a shout out to the local Seniors Centre for Excellence at the April 4 Minto council meeting.

MAPLETON - For the second year in a row the Drayton Fair is cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, officials note, many of the society’s traditional events will still take place.

MAPLETON – Township council has approved a plan to apply for $7,100 in provincial funding to assist with training firefighters in a pandemic environment.

MAPLETON – Council has authorized staff to respond to a Request for Proposals to operate a before and after school program in Upper Grand District School Board facilities within the township.

MAPLETON – The township will offer a children’s summer camp program for the first time this year. The plan calls for the township to offer a weekly, themed summer camp for up to 30 children aged four to 12.

DRAYTON – Mapleton residents will get a say in the look of a planned new water tower in Drayton. On March 23 economic development coordinator Aly Cripps explained council decided in 2019 on the design of the township logo to be placed on the tower, which is targeted for completion in 2022.

MAPLETON - The township has issued a statement in response to citizen concerns following a report on the condition of some of the equipment and facilities that make up the municipal water system.

WELLINGTON COUNTY –The Guelph Wellington Paramedic Service’s (GWPS) Community Paramedicine Long-Term Care project will soon have a new home in Drayton.
