WELLINGTON COUNTY – Seven hospital staff in the county are on unpaid leave for not being vaccinated against COVID-19, down from 14 since mid-October.

GUELPH – The Ministry of Health is covering the extra $13 million in COVID-19 expenses incurred in 2021 for Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH), allowing the agency to present a balanced budget for 2022-23.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Fourteen staff at Wellington County hospitals were put on unpaid leave on Oct. 13 for not being vaccinated against COVID-19.

GUELPH – While the province left volunteers, coaches, instructors and sport officials out of its proof of vaccination requirement, the region's top doctor has ordered that these individuals must show proof of vaccination at facilities in Wellington, Dufferin and Guelph.

GUELPH – Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health will begin offering third dose COVID-19 vaccinations to a specific population beginning Aug. 23.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis has continued to serve its clientele during the pandemic, but it’s been a rocky road, says the organization’s executive director.
