ERIN – Longtime Erin Legion member Doug Kirkwood has been named the Town of Erin’s Citizen of the Year. As part of the town’s annual Shamrock Awards, Kirkwood was selected from a pool of 47 nominees. The award honours those who have made a significant contribution to the community during 2020-21.

Public health adds COVID-19 vaccine clinics for fourth doses
WELLINGTON COUNTY – WDGPH announced on April 6 that it has expanded eligibility for fourth doses (second boosters) to include adults aged 60 and over and First Nation, Inuit and Métis individuals and their non-Indigenous household members aged 18 and over.

County council passes bylaw allowing off-road vehicles on county roads
GUELPH – Off-road vehicles (ORV) are now permitted on all Wellington County roads. A bylaw permitting the use of ORVS on roads owned by the county was approved by county council on March 31.

ERIN – The Erin Community Centre will be closed until further notice, town officials say. In a March 22 post to Twitter, the Town of Erin stated the centre would be “closed until further notice due to mechanical equipment issues.”
