WELLINGTON COUNTY – Due to a recent rise in COVID-19 cases, masks will once again be required at all three hospitals in the county. Officials are asking visitors to be kind to health care workers, "especially when they ask you to wear a mask."

WELLINGTON COUNTY – With the arrival of cold and flu season, public health is changing the way it reports cases of respiratory illnesses. On Sept. 19, WDGPH launched a new portal that combines reporting on flu, RSV and COVID-19.

ERIN – Police are investigating after a Sideroad 10 fire in Erin on Sept. 15 was deemed suspicious. Over 30 firefighters from both the Hillsburgh and Erin fire stations responded to the call.

TORONTO – Hundreds of people have lost their jobs and more than 70 weekly newspapers will cease publication after Metroland Media Group announced on Friday it is declaring bankruptcy. The move to an online-only model involves laying off 605 employees, including 68 journalists.

CALEDON – An Erin resident is one of two people who died in a serious crash here on Wednesday. Caledon OPP officials say emergency crews responded to a four-vehicle collision on Airport Road, near Charleston Sideroad, on Aug, 30 at around 4pm.
