ELORA - Congregation members attached over 300 weatherproof, cloth feathers to netting and installed them over the doorway arches of St. John’s Anglican Church in Elora as a memorial to the children who did not return home from residential schools.

ELORA – Elora and Fergus firefighters responded to a fire call at the Jefferson Elora plant on Oct. 2 to find lots of smoke but no fire inside the building. However, there had been a fire in the mechanical room and all employees were safely evacuated for a few hours.

FERGUS – Police officials say a truck and SUV were stolen and later recovered close by – and they believe other vehicles in the north end of Fergus may have been entered overnight by would-be thieves.
