ELORA – Mark your calendars! The annual “parade of lights” Santa Claus parade will be making its way to Elora this weekend.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Belwood area could be part of a solution to anticipated power supply shortages in the province if an Alectra-Convergent joint venture proposal to construct a battery energy storage facility is successful.

ELORA – Council approved a subdivision proposal on Nov. 14 that will see a total of 247 housing units constructed at 6542 and 6560 Gerrie Road in Elora.

GUELPH – Fergus resident and John F. Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute teacher Erin Doupe was awarded the Governor General’s History Award for Excellence in Teaching in recognition of "The Story of a Soldier" project.

FERGUS – It appears serious injuries were avoided, but a senior driver has been charged after a vehicle ran into a pedestrian and an infant in a stroller here on Tuesday.
