ELORA – With construction on East Mill Street now completed, the Elora Lions are looking forward to  returning to the traditional route for the Santa Claus parade this year.

ELORA – People flocked to the Elora Gorge Cinema on Nov. 9 for the second edition of the Elora Adventure Film Festival.

FERGUS – The Mudmen are always welcome at the Fergus Grand Theatre as evidenced by the full house on Nov. 9.

FERGUS – The Fugitives appeared at the Fergus Grand Theatre on Nov. 8 with Ridge, which examined the First World War and the Battle of Vimy Ridge through songs written by soldiers in the trenches that accompanied new music.

FERGUS – Hundreds of people attended the Community Festival hosted by Emmanuel Christian High School (ECHS) in Fergus on Nov. 16.

ELORA – The Circle of Friends, previously known as the Knitters and Quilters at St. John’s Anglican Church in Elora, put away their knitting needles after Remembrance Day and pulled out their baking gear.

FERGUS – The old Groves Memorial Community Hospital demolition is complete, and the Ministry of Health has approved the sale of the property.

ELORA – The next Elora Rocks home game will be a chance to support kids’ cancer research.

FERGUS – The new operations centre to be built in north Fergus is now estimated to ring in at $44 million, council heard on Nov. 5. That’s a steep climb from the original projection of $10 million in 2007 and a subsequent estimate of $27 million in 2021.
