CENTRE WELLINGTON – Two young dancers from Centre Wellington have earned the chance to dance with Ballet Jörgen in its production of The Nutcracker next month. 

CENTRE WELLINGTON  – Although Ontario has an abundance of rich farmland, there is a significant need for more youth to pursue agricultural careers in the province.

FERGUS – “We have been without a contract for nearly a year ... There’s not really any negotiating happening," said Anika Warmington, second vice president of CUPW Local 546. “We’re really far apart."

FERGUS – It looks like Strathallan Park might remain a park after all. The Wellington Catholic District School Board is re-examining its space needs and might not need to build a high school in the park.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Seven Centre Wellington Shuffleboard Club members participated in the 41st International Shuffleboard Association (ISA) Championship at San Benito,  Texas, USA from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2.

FERGUS – Playful Fox Productions presented the Roald Dahl classic James and the Giant Peach at the Fergus Grand Theatre with three performances on Nov. 15, 16, and 17.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Bowie Lives show is coming to the Fergus Grand Theatre on Nov. 30 at 7:30pm.

BELWOOD – The Belwood Lions Club has been canvassing organizations for toys, goodies and money for its Breakfast with Santa event on Dec. 7.
