CENTRE WELLINGTON – The operator of a motor cycle was transported to hospital after a serious crash here on Thursday. Wellington County OPP officials say emergency crews were called to the scene, on Wellington Road 21 west of Elora, on May 16 at about 8pm. 

 FERGUS – Fergus Legion Branch 275 is holding a dedication service to commemorate the life and service of  Master Corporal Brent W. Lillie.

ELORA – What compels a person to spend much of their time bettering the community?

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The suspect in a sexual assault at a local business last month is an overweight man, likely in his 50s, who may drive a Volkswagen and has an affinity for Spandex and discussing his "physique" with female strangers while they work.

FERGUS – You don’t have to be into knitting, weaving, spinning or crochet to find something worth checking out at the Fergus Fibre Festival on May 25.

ELORA – The termites are still here but companies able to supply termite management programs appear to be in short supply. Centre Wellington staff have tried twice to negotiate contracts with companies to embark on a termite eradication plan in both Elora and Fergus but so far, no takers.

FERGUS – About 200 artists and art enthusiasts flocked to Centre Wellington District High School (CWDHS) on the evening of May 8 for an art show and board-wide Live Art Battle.
