FERGUS – Fergus’ annual Terry Fox Run took place at Forfar Park on Sept. 15. Folks came in family and friend groups, by themselves, or riding bicycles.

FERGUS  – The WCMA is set to present RePlay, a new art exhibition featuring Connections Fibre Artists that aims to celebrate the magic of play.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – A group of Indigenous and non-Indigenous walkers will journey along the Grand River from September 15 to 20 during the All Nations Grand River Water Walk.

Centre Wellington – The Fergus Fall Fair ran from Sept. 13 to 15 at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex, consisting of rides, food and beverage vendors, and tons of entertaining shows.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Blue-green algae has been spotted at all three Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) reservoirs in Wellington County.

ELORA – Sue Hosking never had much money and she never considered herself an artist. But following her death and as per her wishes, her friends are auctioning off 93 pieces of art Hosking created over the years.

ELORA – The Elora Centre for the Arts (ECFTA) yard was bustling on Sept. 5 with about 450 people settled at picnic tables, in lawn chairs, and on picnic blankets on the grass. 

QUEBEC CITY – Centre Wellington residents Bryce Richardson and Tim Porter are pickleball golden boys after competing in the Canada 55+ Summer Games at the end of August and winning gold in their division.

PONSONBY – The Ponsonby U15 girls won gold at the ‘C’ division year-end league tournament.

FERGUS – There were about 120 participants at this year’s Wellington-Dufferin Walk for Parkinson’s on Sept. 7 at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus.
