Anniversary open house - Mallot Creek Group Inc. celebrated its 20th anniversary with an open house on East Mill Street in Elora on Sept. 12.

ELORA - A team of nine Canadian electricians and three family members, including five Wellington County residents, travelled to Guatemala to fix the wiring in student dormitories at a children’s home in April.

Dressage champ - Home bred Centaur LF from Lookout Farm in Belwood, won the Grand Prix Special at Angelstone National Dressage Shows from Aug. 16 to 18 in Erin.

ELORA – Driver Trevor Henry and trainer Bob McIntosh teamed up to win two of five Grassroots divisions at Grand River Raceway on Sept. 9.

Team Ontario champs - The Centre Wellington Mohawks are congratulating players who competed for Team Ontario at the national box lacrosse championships in Coquitlam, BC.

3-pitch winners - The Golden Valley Farms team coached by Mike Broersma was honoured as the best 3-pitch team (6 to 8 year-olds) in Centre Wellington minor softball.

Gold win - The Centre Wellington Fusion Minor PeeWee A team won gold at the Hespeler Early Bird Tournament from Sept. 12 to 15, defeating New Hamburg 6-2 in the final.

Rock and roll - On Sept. 3 staff and residents turned back the clock to rock around the clock at Highland Manor Retirement Lodge in Fergus.
