FERGUS - Many of us worry about doing the right thing when it comes to being creative in our gardens.

FERGUS – A group of men in Centre Wellington made good use of periods of isolation during the pandemic by turning a game they’ve played since childhood into a product people can buy.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – The local community has taken measures to memorialize the 215 children whose remains were discovered at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School in British Columbia.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Wellington County will allocate $460,000 over two years to fund two positions for the Integrated Youth Services Network (IYSN) of Wellington and Guelph. The funding was allocated in response to alarming statistics about youth mental health issues in the county.

WELLINGTON COUNTY- Hairstylist Erin Kiers, owner of Hybrid Hair and Detox Spa, put red balloons out front of her Mount Forest store on May 26. She was joined by hairdressers all over the province who are lobbying the Ontario government to allow them to open on June 14.

FERGUS – Kellie Barclay was the only Canadian to participate in an international cake collaboration recognizing the one year anniversary of the death of George Floyd.

ELORA – The Elora Centre for the Arts (ECFTA) will receive a $25,000 grant through Infrastructure Canada’s Healthy Communities Initiative program.

ELORA – Jack R. MacDonald was a long-standing donor to the former village of Elora and for decades provided funds that have positively impacted the community throughout the years.

ELORA – It’s road repair season and Centre Wellington will see $835,000 worth of asphalt laid this summer through four major projects.
