BELWOOD – The Belwood and District Lions Club was invited by Advanced Marine, on Wellington Road 18 between Belwood and Fergus, to host a barbecue to celebrate Advanced Marine’s 25th anniversary.

FERGUS – The Fergus Legion donated lunch to the staff and volunteers at the Habitat for Humanity build at the Garafraxa Street West location in Fergus.

ELORA – When Zain Rahman and his wife Patti Boutin moved from Mississauga to Mathieson Street in Elora 10 years ago, it didn’t take them long to realize they “had landed somewhere special,” Rahman said. 

BELWOOD – Born one day after the end of the Second World War, Bob Sargent grew up in the 1950s on a 100-acre farm one mile north of Belwood.

KAHNAWAKE – It only took three games for the Elora Mohawks to beat out the Kahnawake Hunters to become the Ontario Junior B lacrosse champions. And that’s more or less how the entire playoff run went for the team.

FERGUS – Pipe and drum bands, heavy events and highland dance competitions were just a few of the things drawing people from all over Ontario to Fergus on Saturday and Sunday for the celebration of Scottish heritage that is the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games.

ELORA – Grand River Raceway celebrated its 35th annual Industry Day on  Aug. 5, welcoming guests to the reconfigured five-eighth mile track in Elora.
