CENTRE WELLINGTON – On Jan. 8 the Fergus Elora Belwood (FEB) Snowmobile Club will be collecting natural Christmas trees throughout the area for a club fundraiser.

ELORA – Centre Wellington firefighters responded to a call on Christmas Day for a dog that fell into the Elora Gorge, but unfortunately the dog did not survive.

FERGUS – Police are seeking help to identify the person(s) responsible for placing a dead coyote on the front yard of a home here just before Christmas.

ABOYNE – Officials at the Wellington Terrace Long-Term Care Home have declared a COVID-19 outbreak at the facility. During routine testing one resident and one staff member tested positive for the virus.

ELORA – After years of following in his father's footsteps, Dan Wilson will be stepping into his dad’s boots when he officially becomes CAO of Centre Wellington in January.

CENTRE WELLINGTON - Built on a social enterprise model to address food insecurity, Groceries from The SEED are arriving at doorsteps across Fergus and Elora thanks to a recent $10,000 grant from the Centre Wellington Community Foundation.

FERGUS – Students at J.D. Hogarth Public School in Fergus have exceeded their own expectations, surpassing a goal for food bank donations this holiday season.
