FERGUS – Starting this season, Centre Wellington minor lacrosse teams will use a new logo and will be known as the Riverhawks. "Changing our name was simply the right thing to do," states a Jan. 19 press release from the Centre Wellington Minor Lacrosse Association.

Province approves new elementary school in north Fergus
FERGUS – The provincial government has approved a proposal from the Upper Grand District School Board for a new elementary school expected to be located in north Fergus. Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece announced on Jan. 13 the province is providing $8.5 million for the new school.
