FERGUS – It won’t be long before people entering Fergus will know that this is the home of Paralympian Patrick Anderson. Centre Wellington council, at a special meeting on April 27, unanimously supported a staff recommendation to install “home of” signs at the north and south entrances to Fergus.

SALEM – Chris Cox has done it again. The Salem man set his third Guinness World Record – this time for the heaviest single repetition Turkish get-up. He completed the complicated manoeuvre on Jan. 9, lifting 76.56kg (168 lbs. 8 oz.) in a single repetition.

First Wellington County Writers Festival draws wordsmiths, readers together
ABOYNE – The inaugural Wellington County Writers Festival launched here on April 23 was a hit with writers and readers alike. A total of 45 authors and book vendors were on hand for the event at the Wellington County Museum and Archives.
