CENTRE WELLINGTON – Homeowners in Centre Wellington are likely facing a 3.49 per cent increase in the township portion of their property tax bill after council approved the recommendation at its committee of the whole meeting on Dec. 3.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Grassroots Response, based in Waterloo Region, has opened a new guest house just outside of Elora.

ELORA – Hand-crafted angel wing key chain ornaments have been flying off the shelves at Heritage River Retirement Residence, with proceeds going to the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

BELWOOD – The problem in Kathy Sievert’s home is not the number of Christmas trees she has on display – and there are 50 this year. It’s the number of tree ornaments she and her daughter have collected over the years.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Randall Howard, chair of the Centre Wellington Community Foundation Board of Directors, announced a record-breaking single gift of $3.45 million from benefactor Russel Cox, a local business icon and philanthropist. 

ELORA – The Fergus Pipe Band marched through the streets in the Elora Santa Claus parade on Nov. 30. It was a cold and snowy night but the pipes and drums held up well.
