ELORA – It was a short but stately ceremony at township hall on Nov. 21 as Centre Wellington’s newly-elected council was inaugurated.

FERGUS – Among the first things to be planted in the spring at the new community garden at the Fergus sportsplex will be signs in each of the garden plots. And those signs were made by youth in the Sparrow program offered at the Elora Centre for the Arts.

FERGUS – About 40 people gathered outside Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Ted Arnott’s office on Nov. 16 to protest Bill 23, the proposed Building Homes Faster Act.

BELWOOD – Canada Post is looking for temporary solutions for Belwood residents who normally pick up their mail at the post office after a Nov. 15 fire ravaged the building.

ELORA – Members of the community are invited to a workshop on Dec. 1 to receive an update on and participate in the Pierpoint Research Project. The workshop will be held Dec. 1 from 6 to 8pm at the Elora Community Centre.
