BELWOOD – The West Garafraxa works garage will act as a temporary post office for Belwood residents until Canada Post finds a permanent solution.

ABOYNE – On June 25, over 300 people attended this year’s Teddy Bear Picnic, the second held on the front lawn of the Wellington County Museum in Aboyne.

FERGUS – The Rotary Club of Fergus Elora will be hosting Canada Day festivities in the field behind the Sportsplex July 1. 

ELORA – On June 24, the Elora Rocks Lawn Bowling Club held an open house.

FERGUS – On June 17, CSN Hutten Collision Centre celebrated 40 years in business with an open house charity car show, with 100 vehicles attending.

FERGUS – The beginning of the summer holidays signals the Annual Summer Market held at St. James Anglican Church in Fergus.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The downtown areas in Fergus and Elora are about to grow "up." Council approved two zoning amendments at its June 26 meeting allowing four-storey apartment buildings to be constructed in the two downtown cores.

A new media style guide, written by Alanna King and Sarah Trick, will increase accuracy, care and nuance of stories about disabled individuals and communities. 

ELORA – In their final good deed of the school year, Grade 8 students at Elora Public School are holding a car wash in support of Team Addy, which in turn will give those proceeds and more to Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children.
