FERGUS – St. Joseph Catholic School in Fergus held a fundraising dance on Oct. 31 to benefit United Way of Guelph Wellington and raised $500.

FERGUS – The combined team of Fergus Highland Rugby and Waterloo Country U14 girls went through the Rugby Ontario Junior Cup Tournament 4-0, outscoring their opponents 120-10 on Oct. 27. 

CENTRE WELLINGTON – On Nov. 1, members of Team Addy gathered at SickKids Hospital for a special cheque presentation.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Grand Quilt Guild invited Lori Taylor, a quilter from Parry Sound, to guide members through some tips for quilting a pre-printed panel.

FERGUS – It was not Dolly Parton at the Fergus Grand Theatre on Oct. 27 but a pretty convincing look-alike and sound-alike in Daphne Moens.

ABOYNE – The Wellington County Museum and Archives took in donations of carved pumpkins on Nov. 1, lighting the jack o’ lanterns up one more time for the enjoyment of visitors at the Pumpkin Walk event.
