Local teams compete in Rising Stars tournament

Rising stars – The Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex was filled with energy as the Mohawks U17 boys lacrosse defeated Brampton by a score of 3-0 on Aug. 21. The game was part of the weekend-long U17 "Rising Stars" tournament. Photos by Curtis Gordon.

Centre Wellington finished the weekend in fourth place, recording two wins and three losses.

Players on the U17 Mohawks team include: Joseph Columbus, Matthew Mulvey, Nathan Whittom, Tobias Wilson, Brinley Wilson, Christopher Rathwell, Jack Webley, Ryan McDougall, Cole Doherty, Rory Peters, Connor Hulme, Matt Hamill, Owen Tovell, Tye Sanderson, Joey Avery, Liam Grant, Ewan Mackie, Keegan Detweiler, Logan Joyce, Carson Klompmaker, Evan MsDougall, and Blair Kurtz.
