Local stock car simulator business will be featured on TV show

A local stock car simulator company has come to the television spotlight with an appearance on the reality TV show Storage Wars Canada.

Douglas Fischer owner of RPM Promotions known more commonly under the name SISCAR.ca (Simulated Interactive Stock Car Auto Racing) said he was proud to assist in the creation of the episode which was set to air Jan. 9 on the OLN channel and City TV at 9pm.

Fischer said his company was approached to appear on the show as estimators after the show’s creators came across six stock car simulators lost in a storage  facility in Vaughan.

“They stumbled upon them for the show,” Fischer said of the find. “They called us to ask us to evaluate them.”

Fischer said he arrived at the Mississauga set location for the show and for the taping in September.

Although he declined to talk about specifics of the show, Fischer said his part may have lasted about “one minute and 45 seconds.”

It also features head-to-head racing with his cars and the ones purchased for the show.

Fischer said the show appearance will help promote his company, adding he has already received calls from two other television shows.
