ELORA – The Elora Community Theatre has announced audition dates for Little House on the Prairie.
Elora Community Theatre is the first community theatre in Canada to receive the rights for this production.
In total, there are 23 roles for: nine school aged girls, four school aged boys, four adult females and six adult males.
However, the production company can add people to serve as townspeople and ensemble singers.
Audition dates
Auditions are set to tale place:
– Nov. 29 from 3 to 6pm and 7 to 9pm;
– Nov. 30 from 12 to 5pm; and
– Dec. 1 from 12 to 5pm.
Auditions will be held at the Elora Community Theatre Shop/Rehearsal Space at 1010 Rivers Edge Dr, West Montrose.
Preparation
Actors are asked to prepare a monologue and two contrasting musical pieces (one in full and the second only 16 to 32 bars).
Also, actors are asked to come prepared with the sheet music (in the correct key) in a binder for the accompanist.
Actors should wear comfortable clothes/shoes as there will be a 30min group dance component to the audition.
