Linton: BIAs working to look more patriotic in Centre Wellington

It’s going to look a lot more patriotic in Centre Wellington in time for Canada’s 150th birthday.

In his report to council on April 24, Mayor Kelly Linton said the Fergus BIA established a final list of events for 2017 and is working on installing Canada 150 flags and banners for downtown Fergus.

“That’s exciting and you can see that coming up shortly,” said Linton.

He  added the Elora BIA is also working on its Canada 150 plans.

“They want to make the downtowns look extremely patriotic over the next few months,” said Linton.

The mayor  offered a shout-out to the volunteers of both BIAs for donating their time and skills.

“They work really hard in a volunteer capacity and are doing great things for our downtown areas,” he said.
