The United Way of Guelph and Wellington has announced that Linamar and its employees have raised over $214,000 for the 2007 campaign, surpassing their goal of $200,000.
The contribution is a major component to the overall success of the 2007 United Way campaign which raised over $2.6 million.
“The support of Linamar and its employees is incredibly important to the success of our campaign,” said Rick McCombie, 2007 Campaign chairman.
“Every year, volunteers run campaigns in each of the 23 Guelph based plants organizing events, hosting information presentations … Through the hard work of volunteers and the support of management, they are able to make such a significant contribution to this community.” The Campaign of the Year award was won by Spinic Manufacturing for raising $14,000.
