Dear Editor:
Some facts about the so-called “trucker convoy”:
– they blew loud horns 24 hours a day outside people’s bedroom windows;
– the vast majority of truckers were opposed to it;
– it did not try to address the many long-standing problems that truckers actually have;
– they harassed and intimidated citizens trying to do normal activities like going to the grocery store;
– they wanted the democratically elected government to be illegally overthrown;
– their leaders were far-right extremists who, for the most part, weren’t truckers; and
– they broke numerous bylaws and laws.
Those aren’t disputable, they are just facts. If you supported the convoy and those facts make you uncomfortable, maybe you should rethink why you supported it.
