Dear Editor:
I have been reading about climate change and saving the environment and here are some ideas on how to save the earth.
1. If you go fishing don’t leave the nets and lines animals can get tangled in, in the trash.
2. Never leave plastic toys or garbage on the beach.
3. Try not to use plastic straws or bags.
4. Don’t fill goodie bags with plastic toys, instead try to use homemade goodies and coupons to local bakers.
5. Experts say Americans use 500 million plastic straws a day; try to use paper straws if necessary.
6. Try to close windows when air conditioning or heating is on.
7. Walk or bike to school.
8. Hang up freshly washed clothes to save energy.
9. Instead of turning on the heat wear a warm sweater.
