Remembrance poem

Dear Editor:

Lest We Forget

I walk the way of the banners,
They flutter in the breeze;
I stop and look upon each smile
And linger for awhile.
I read their names,
I speak them silently,
Their youthful faces don’t speak back,
Or tell of what they see
If we have life and freedom.
We say thank you to each one

We will remember them…
