Dear Editor:
My fiancee and I were so very proud of our little town of Drayton on Family Day, Feb. 21.
People lined the streets in the centre of town, waving Canadian flags, blowing horns, smiling and cheering on a convoy of trucks and cars that threaded through our town for the better part of an hour.
It was so heartwarming to see the patriotic crowds! Regardless of the utter insanity that our government is trying to force down our throats, people know better.
Common sense prevails! We the people, know that our freedoms are being relentlessly trampled. Even more so with the Emergencies Act (where’s the emergency by the way?).
Also, I am not afraid to say that I donated $50 to the truckers in Ottawa. And I would do it again in a heartbeat!
Desiree Jones,
Drayton
