Dear Editor:
While watching the news the day after Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott were expelled from the Liberal caucus by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau I was enlightened to find out that politics is a team endeavour.
A few weeks ago, when Wilson-Raybould first spoke out, I was thrilled to think there were still a few honourable politicians that valued honesty, integrity, morality and a respect for the rule of law in our country.
The conclusion that must be deduced is that the remaining individuals sitting on the government team along with Trudeau do not hold these values near and dear to their modus operandi.
Don’t worry, the budget will balance itself and we can continue on our merry way with sunny ways and sunny days. Justin, it’s wonderful you have such a respect and understanding of feminism.
Have your staff fuel up the jet, as I’m sure you may want to get out of town for a few days. There may be someone you would like to apologize to or maybe give a $10-million cheque to. Maybe you could drop in and see the Aga Khan for a few days.
While you are out and about we’ll be pleased to pony up for the jet fuel and the carbon tax.
Paul Dermott,
Hillsburgh
