Community needs indoor pool

Dear Editor:

We do not need an outdoor pool that would only serve our communities for six weeks of the year. What we really need is an indoor pool that  would be used by families, folks recovering from knee, hip and other surgeries, plus ongoing arthritic issues and more.

It does not make sense to spend millions, when with fundraising, input of money from surrounding townships  and financially, encompassing a large area, we could afford a pool that could be used 12 months  of the year.

Yes, I am aware the upkeep is expensive.

Many young folks would love to be able to swim year-round.

Come to the meeting on March 23 at our sports complex and voice your opinion. There would more to use for an indoor pool than for a walking track, banquet hall, ice pad and meeting rooms.

Think seriously about this matter.  After it is decided to only have an outdoor pool, it is too late.

See you at the meeting on March 23.
