Thank You!
I wanted to write a letter to bring everyone’s attention to our Public Service Workers over the holidays. Let’s start with the police, who it seems everyone is crapping on lately because of a few knuckleheads. The police officers deserve a big thank you for doing what they do everyday and taking the abuse they do, sometimes from the people that need them mist!
The Fire Fighters, both full time and volunteer are amazing people as well. These folks earn they’re year salary every time they put on their fire suit as far as I’m concerned. They never know what they are getting into, and have to deal with it no matter what, and just for our safety!
I also want to say a huge Thank You to our Plow Drivers, the MOST under appreciated job as far as I’m concerned. These guys are out on the roads in conditions where the average people are told to stay home. (And PLEASE listen when you are told that! It makes everyone’s life easier)
Yes! They go slow. Yes! they take up space. But they’re not doing it to bug us! They are doing it for our safety!
All these folks I have talked about deserve our appreciation!
They all do their jobs and sacrifice the Holidays with their families so we can spend the holidays with ours! They all put their safety on the line every time they clock in for work, and have to deal with extra stress and abuse from the people they are doing their jobs for! So maybe next time you get the urge to say something mean or flipping them off because they might be inconveniencing your busy lives, take a minute to appreciate the fact that if it wasn’t for them, and other Public Service Workers we would be in a world of hurt! Maybe give them a wave and say something nice instead!
