I can not express my recent frustration with “The Town Of Minto” I initially had refused to get a water meter installed via Neptune Technologies for reasons but not limited to the health affects they cause, security and privacy concerns to name a few. I did receive a “NOTICE TO COMPLY” Aug 25th that stated if I did not they would shut my water off Sept 4th. I responded to this Aug 28th via letter which I hand delivered to the township office. I followed up leaving several messages for Brain Hansen to which I received no replay. Sept 4th came and to my surprise my water was still on (thinking that my letter had served its purpose and that they understood I was in my legal compacity to deny such consent) and continued to stay on till Oct 1st. While the men were here to shut the water off I immediately contacted Brian. Asked him if he had received my letter? He said “yes”. “Did you read it?” was my next question. “No” he said. “I handed it to the lawyer and he told me to disregard it”. “Oh” I said confused. “Now what?” He then told me if I wanted my water back on that I would have to take them to court and hung up. In the duration of 7 days my family went with out water I spoke to many people on council including the Mayor and Deputy Mayor. Both who stated to me that they had no knowledge of the letter that I sent nor had either of them read it. I cant help but feel totally discouraged that I was completely ignored and bullied into a corner where I had to get a meter against my will to provide for my family. This is just the start of a bigger propaganda taking place by our government. I dare you to take the plunge and see for your self and look up Agenda 21.
