I would like to get in touch with a journalist willing to do a story on door to door energy retailers. I recently applied for a job in the “Green Energy” industry and got hired immediately, my first day was today, and what they’re doing is wrong. Within the first 20mins of the day it was already known to me that I will not be staying here but decided to stick around just for the learning experience, seeing how it is behind the scene while going door to door. These same people have come to my house in the past and I never let them in, and have told my mother to make sure of the same. Their tactic is the middle class homeowner, while the husbands are out working the wives get fed fearful lines while showing no facts. Another who barely speaks English but gets them on “Government rebates”. This is pure swindling, and with research I have read that nobody actually saves money with these companies, in fact they end up getting charged more with no way out of the contract, and what happens when these companies go belly up, what good is the warrantee then? and they will go belly up, this ones’ plan is Costa Rica apparently. My trainer today exposed himself and the company he works for and this should be illegal.

My proposition:

I will not take this job, nor do I want a nickle from them. As far as they stand, I am totally with this and want in. These people are creeps and need to go down what can I do? Please get back to me asap, or I will simply have to call and refuse the job offer. This company is specific has already been hit by the BBB and man former-employee reviews are listed online warning people not to get jobs with them.
